Carpe Diem - Scrapbook Layout

 Hello Craftivators,

Today’s project is special because it’s a guest design inspiration project for my favorite challenge blog- More Than Words

You can CLICK HERE to check out there blog post.

Here’s the moodboard for this month-

‘CARPE DIEM’ is a word which I can relate more with when I’m crafting or traveling. Whenever I’m free, in high spirit or feel like following my heart and making the best use of my time, you can either find me in a corner of my craft room crafting my heART out or you won’t find me at all as I’m out somewhere on a trip lol. This colorful layout perfectly represents that side of me.
For the creative challenge, MARK-MAKING, I marked the border of the layout with some faux stitching and also scribbled around the focal point with my favorite black pen!

Home Alone Inspired Layout

Hello Craftivators!
Hope you’re all safe and sound. Today I’m back again with another fun project. I’ll be sharing with you a funny ‘Home Alone’ themed mixed media layout.

As I’m back home because of this lockdown and unable to do some craft shopping, I’ve very little amount of supplies with me. But that didn’t stop me from crafting. I looked for a some pictures in the newspaper and hit the jackpot when I found this cute photo of Kevin from home alone. Hence I decided to use it as the focal point.
Every element of the layout, starting from the striped paper in background to the flowers are made out of scratch.
‘Home Alone’ is one of my most favorite movies ever and I’ve watched it innumerable times. As much as I find this movie very funny, I find the movie very inspiring too. I’ve learnt no matter how much you’re underestimated, you can still make a great difference to your surroundings with your boldness, intelligence and positive vibes. That’s why I decided to use the sentiment “make a difference”.

I was also inspired by the lovely moodboard of the More Than Words Challenge.
For the funny element, I decided to add the funny photo of Kevin. And for the stripes, I have added blue stripes on the background.
