Hello Gorgeous

 Hello Craftivators!

Hope everything is going well on your side. First of all I would like to apologize for not being able to be quite active on my blog. Life got in the way or more precisely ARCHITECTURE got in the way and turned my life upside down lol. After having barely 2 hours of sleep tonight, here I’m writing this blog just for you lovelies, so please do pardon me if you find any mistakes xx

So coming to today’s project! I’ve made a card after a long long time. I almost forgot that I could actually make pretty decent cards in the past. But that’s not the hot topic hehe but I would like to announce that for the first time I’ve used ALCOHOL MARKERS, I repeat, ALCOHOL MARKERS to color the images of my card. If you know me, you should know that I never owned any alcohol markers before recently I had to buy a set of 24 markers for one of my architecture projects (See? Perks of being an architecture student lol). I did have a few sharpies which is technically an alcohol based marker but that doesn’t count, does it?

Ok I’m getting off topic again *facepalm*. So back to the project, I’ve created a mixed media card (As you know, mixed media is my new favorite thing). Here, I’ve colored the flowers in the shades of yellow and orange and the leaves in the shades of green. I’ve added black stripes to the background, black and white spatters all around and finally finished of the project with some viva pearl drops and sequins. Easy right?!

I hope you have liked today’s project. If you did, do let me know in the comments down below and if you try to re-create it, don’t forget to tag me there. I would love to see your versions xx

Last but not the least, recently one of my crafty friends introduced me to this amazing challenge blog named Freshly Made Sketches and they are celebrating their 500th sketch this time YAY! So I could not help but dare to take part in this challenge for the first time (way too many first times today eh?). But I’m so happy to take part in the challenge and also be a part of their massive celebration. Here’s their sketch-

Carpe Diem - Scrapbook Layout

 Hello Craftivators,

Today’s project is special because it’s a guest design inspiration project for my favorite challenge blog- More Than Words

You can CLICK HERE to check out there blog post.

Here’s the moodboard for this month-

‘CARPE DIEM’ is a word which I can relate more with when I’m crafting or traveling. Whenever I’m free, in high spirit or feel like following my heart and making the best use of my time, you can either find me in a corner of my craft room crafting my heART out or you won’t find me at all as I’m out somewhere on a trip lol. This colorful layout perfectly represents that side of me.
For the creative challenge, MARK-MAKING, I marked the border of the layout with some faux stitching and also scribbled around the focal point with my favorite black pen!

I was inspired by the lovely colors of the Splashymix Challenge moodboard to create today’s project.

I was also inspired by the Creative Embellishments March Challenge moodboard to compose the elements of my layout.
I’ve added some faux stitching with a green marker as their extra element.

Fabrika Decoru DT Call 2021

 Hello!

I’m Fairuz Fabiha, a 20 years old, resident of Bangladesh and a student of Architecture, who loves paper crafting, card making, scrapbooking and doing mixed media art. I also have the experience in designing chipboard cutouts for one my design teams.

I’m currently working as a designer for “The Robin’s Nest” , “CrafTreat” and “Lisa Horton Crafts” design team. But my terms with CrafTreat and Robin’s Nest will end this December.

Fabrika Decoru has and will always have a very special place in my heart because I started my ‘mixed media’ journey with their products. Not only I fell in love with their products but it made me fall in love with mixed media art too. Their versatile range of products are what you need to satisfy your cravings as a mixed media artist.

I think I would be a good fit for the Fabrika Decoru team because I’m a team player, a passionate crafter and I always take my work seriously.
And nevertheless, I love their products and I’m most comfortable in using the type of products they produce. And my works are the best proof of it. Most of my creations (if not all) includes at least one or more Fabrika Decoru products. I believe when you truly love and feel comfortable with what you are doing, naturally the end result will be good.

The Power Of Practice Hop

Hello Craftivators!
Hope you guys are doing well. Today’s blog post is a special one because this is a part of the blog hop organized by Craft Collabs, where us participants display two of our cards, one from the past and one created recently to show you guys the difference and appreciate the power of practice throughout the years.

I’ve been making cards since I was a kid but it’s only been a few years that I’ve started taking it seriously and practiced a whole lot more.
So today I’m sharing with you a card that I’ve created back in 2018 (the first card I’ve ever posted online) and another one that I’ve created last week.

Paper Crafters Unite Against Racism Hop - Floral Card

Hello Craftivators,
Hope you all are doing well. Today I’m back again to inspire you guys with a fun project, which I created for a special cause. It’s a fun floral card. This project is a part of the Paper Crafters Unite Against Racism Hop organized by Justine Hovey.
I used the sentiment ‘Be Who You Are’ to encourage people to accept the natural aspects of life, be courageous enough accept our own selves and never be afraid to be how we are!
I myself am a person of color and I’m proud of it!

The goal of this hop is to come together to stand behind our crafty sisters and brothers of colour not just in the art industry, but also to show our support in the never-ending fight for equality all over the world.

Spring Bloom

Hello Crafty Friends!
Fairuz Fabiha here from Craftivation. Today I’ll be sharing with you a fun project where I have used stencil on fabric to create a simple but vibrant wall hanging home decor.

It’s a very beautiful sunflower patterned stencil and the possibilities are endless to create with it. I’ve used it many times on papers and mdfs. But for today, I wanted to try something different and hence I decided to work on fabric.

Process-

At first I took a piece of textured white fabric and tightly framed it to a sewing hoop.
Then I placed the spring bloom stencil over it and attached it with some masking tapes to keep it in place.

Then I started applying colors over. I’m not good with paintings and for that reason painting always stressed me out. But using the stencil for painting the flowers made the process very easy and therapeutic. I really enjoyed doing it this way.
After I was done with the flowers, I colored the background in green.

I let the whole background dry perfectly, then I wrote 'Hope' over it with bronze metallic paint and outlined it with black and white.

Voila! The beautiful wall hanging home decor is done! x

I would like to enter the STAMPloration THE STENCIL CHALLENGE

Thank you so much for visiting the blog! I hope you found the project inspiring and the instructions helpful.

Hugs,
Fairuz Fabiha aka Craftivation x
